Steve Ricketts – Drone Photography
Steve is a landscape photographer based in Sherwood Park, AB, Canada. While the Rockies are spectacular, there is also a lot of beauty in the Alberta prairies; Steve’s images focus on the landscapes in and around my home, especially in Strathcona, Minburn and Lamont Counties. Rather than show the grandeur of the Rockies, Steve prefers to take the viewer on a journey around the neighbourhood to enjoy the subtlety of the Prairies. Recently, he has started using drones in his landscape photography, as they lend a different perspective. Steve has shown his images in many solo and group exhibitions. His work has been featured at InFocus Photo exhibits since 2016.In his presentation, Steve will talk about the logistics of drone photography, including what drones cost, their capabilities, licensing and operations rules, and share examples of drone photography.
