January 7th, 2020: Photographer Dennis Ducklow on “Using Shutter Speed Creatively”

Shutter speed is often overlooked as a creative tool in our photography. We’re mostly familiar with freezing the action and showing motion but there are many other options along the continuum of shutter speeds that our cameras allow. This presentation will sharpen your awareness of the creative potential of shutter speed and leave you determined to try some new ideas.  (Some of Dennis’ creative photos are attached.)

Dennis Ducklow, a professional photographer from Langley, is in constant pursuit of the creative edge. In addition to offering photography to businesses and families, Dennis teaches introductory and intermediate photography as well as 7-day creative photography workshops called Develop Your Creative Vision.  He loves all aspects of photography and his current personal focus is expressive nature photography. You can view his most recent work on Instagram {doubleexposurephotog).
