Due to the Covid Pandemic, BC camera clubs are not meeting in person. A number are meeting virtually via Zoom, while others are not meeting at all. To support club members, with the financial and organizational support of the Canadian Association of the Photographic Arts (CAPA), BC clubs have banded together to share the costs of hosting high profile and world class photographers on Zoom webinars and to provide access to these Zoom sessions to all member clubs’ members. This allows smaller clubs to have access to speakers who normally would not be available to them.
The BC Camera Club collaboration will host a series of four speakers. They will be held in November, January, February/March and later in the Spring. The first two sessions have been announced, with SCCC hosting the January session with Jeffrey Wu.
November 23, 2020 Richard Martin “Lines and Curves”
January 8, 2021 Jeffrey Wu, “Wildlife Photography“.
Members will be expected to register for each session ahead of time. Registration links will be forwarded to members by the clubs.
Additionally, a number of larger clubs are opening up their educational Zoom sessions to members of other camera clubs. SCC members have the opportunity to register for:
November 2, 2020 Adam Gibbs “Simplicity in Chaos“
November 30th, 2020 Lisa Langell, “The New Nature Photography: Trends for the Future”
Registration links will be sent to SCCC members by the club.
